The ingredients in Cortisol Manager help support a balanced, adaptive cortisol response to stress.* Cortisol Manager contains a stress-reducing proprietary blend of Sensoril® brand ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) and Suntheanine™ brand L-theanine.* A proprietary blend of Magnolia (Magnolia officinalis) and epimedium (Epimedium koreanum), as well as phosphatidylserine from soy lecithin are included in Cortisol Manager.
A 2008 placebo-controlled clinical trial showed that Sensoril® ashwagandha significantly reduced serum cortisol levels and helped manage stress compared to placebo, in subjects experiencing higher levels of stress.*1 A 2018 placebo-controlled clinical trial showed that a single intake of Suntheanine™ L-theanine significantly increased alpha brain wave activity in subjects compared to their placebo counterparts.*2Alpha brain wave activity is associated with a more relaxed mental state.*2
